Helping others isn't the only thing you do and we understand that you have a life outside your philanthropy. Set the hours you're free to help. You'll only be notified about new consumers during these times.

We're building a network of trusted volunteers like you.

Due to the nature of our work, all volunteers are required to obtain a Criminal Record Check and provide the front of their Provincial ID for their volunteer application to be considered for approval.

Help consumers understand their vehicle deals.

Consumer Deal Advisors are the people who can provide a human perspective when a consumer needs additional assistance understanding a vehicle purchase, lease, or financing agreement.

What you'll do

• Review consumer questions about vehicle purchases and financing.
• Help consumers understand common automotive terminology.
• Review purchase, lease, and financing documents when appropriate.
• Identify optional products, fees, or terms that consumers may want to ask the dealership about.
• Help consumers prepare questions for their dealer.
• Explain information in plain, easy-to-understand language.
• Direct consumers toward appropriate third-party professionals or authoritative resources when a question falls outside the volunteer's expertise.
• Avoid making legal, financial, or professional determinations.

Skills & experience

Helpful experience includes:

• Automotive sales or dealership experience.
• Finance & Insurance (F&I) experience.
• Automotive lending.
• Vehicle purchasing or leasing.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to explain complicated information simply.
• Good judgment and attention to detail.
